After a sale has been created and validated, any invited investor can log on to a marketplace to invest in the sale. and view detailed information about each sale, including asset descriptions, token price, sale status, asset type, contract name, and accepted currencies.

With Omnichain, investors can choose to purchase from any chain, with all purchases and supply synchronized across networks.

Onboarding

Investors must successfully complete the relevant onboarding process set out by the market administrator before they can participate in sales. The onboarding process usually consists of the following three steps:

  1. Email invitation: receive an email invitation either from the market administrator or the asset issuer.
  2. Create your login details.
  3. KYC/KYB: complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) verification processes to comply with regulatory requirements.

Purchasing an Asset

Investors on any Evergon market can purchase whole and original assets, or their fractions. Fractional ownership enables the seller to gain access to more liquidity and may be the only path to obtain ownership of certain assets.

Depending on the market, some investors may need permission to purchase the asset. This permission can be granted based on criteria set by the market creator.

Investors purchase assets from the sale, the below flow illustrates the steps:

  1. On the marketplace they view all eligible sales.
  2. Select a sale and checks out like any conventional marketplace.
  3. Purchase a fraction with the payment currency that asset issuers selected, as specified by the market creator.
  4. Then depending on the market type:
    1. If it is an investment, the investor can burn a fraction and redeem a portion of the wrapped asset.
    2. If it is an asset-backed financing, the issuer pays back the investor and burns the fraction.

Portfolio Management

Assets purchased on any Evergon marketplace become immediately available to view via the portfolio section of the investor’s page.

The portfolio section allows you to keep track of your investments and view relevant details such as the token symbol, quantity held, asset class, blockchain network of the asset.
