After a token sale is approved any user with the investor role and a verified status can participate in it and purchase a fraction from the vault associated to the sale.

Onboarding

Depending on the market accessibility and compliance rules, investors sign-up with or without an invitation and pass a KYC/KYB if any rules were set by the market administrators.

For restricted, private markets the investors onboarding follows the below flow

  1. Email invitation: the investor receives an email invitation either from the market administrator or the asset issuer.
  2. Sign-up: registration on the platform with email, password and name.
  3. Wallet authentication: given the permission to invest is at the smart contract level, the user needs to input its wallet address or generate a new one that will have the authorisation to invest on the market.
  4. KYC/KYB: the user complete the KYC/KYB verification flow to comply with the rules of the market
  5. Granting the role: finally the admin signs a transaction to grant the role to the address.

Investment

Investors purchase vault fractions when participating in sales:

  1. Investor discover sales based on eligibility.
  2. Select a sale and checks out like any conventional marketplace.
  3. Do a KYC/KYB with ComPilot or refreshes it.
  4. Purchase a fraction with the payment currency that asset issuers selected, as specified by the market creator.
  5. Finally the fraction is available in the portfolio of the user.
